OpenAI is introducing a dedicated version of ChatGPT for teens, designed with new parental controls and safety measures. Users under 18 will automatically be placed in an age-appropriate experience that blocks sexual or graphic content and avoids sensitive discussions around self-harm. Parents will be able to link accounts, set blackout hours, restrict features, and receive alerts if their teen shows signs of distress. The move comes as regulators increase scrutiny of AI's risks for children and families.
